My name is Kristina, and I am the mother of twins, Nelly and Nik.
At the age of 5, the children underwent an autism correction procedure at the Mardaleishvili Clinic in Georgia.
Since Nik’s condition was initially more severe than Nelly’s, her results have been more noticeable. Before the procedure, she could only produce sounds, and within six months afterward she began to speak — first words, then phrases. Now she speaks in long sentences, can tell a story, and learns poems and songs.
Nik has developed full understanding of spoken language; he can communicate through gestures and finds pictures of any object on a phone to show us.
The children have become more focused, attentive, and easier to teach. Nelly has learned to solve simple math problems.
Previously, Nik was completely non-interactive and wouldn’t allow anyone to touch him. Now he seeks hugs and allows haircuts and nail trimming. The children have made friends. It has become easier to take them to crowded places.
At 7 years old, under our supervision, the children can shop in stores — they pick out what they like, place items in the basket, and pay on their own using a phone. They fully take care of themselves: they dress and undress, serve and heat up their food, and pour tea.
Before entering school, Nelly took the Wexler test and received an IQ score of 97 (within the normal range).
Her diagnosis of autism was replaced with a diagnosis of general speech underdevelopment, and Nik’s diagnosis was changed to delayed psycho-speech development.
We are very pleased with the results.
